Eatery: Citizen Vine

Citizen Vine in Lincoln is located in a nice strip mall off of Twelve Bridges Drive. The strip mall or plaza itself is a great option for those with an appetite. Surrounded by the likes of Zakura Sushi, Siinos Restaurant, Orchid Thai and Urbanos, Citizen Vine offers a unique approach to a wine bar. It has a delightful offering of tapas and wine, but does so in a comfortable environment instead of a snooty one. The restaurant itself is beautiful and features outdoor patio seating.

Although my wife and I enjoy the dining at Thunder Valley, sometimes we like to stop by Citizen Vine beforehand to get some tasty options and then head over for a concert or gaming.

Recommended Dish

Overall, it’s a darn cool menu that offers a variety of local wines, snacks and finger foods. My go tos include the Carmenet Chardonnay, which has a nice butterscotch finish, absolutely love it. Another item on my go to list is the cheese board. For the cheese board you get to pick 3 different cheeses. You can also add other cheeses + meats if you like. The Shrimp and Chorizo is excellent as is the Brussel Sprout and Bacon Flatbread. Again, it’s a great spot to get together with a group of friends to sip some vino and snack on yummy appetizers.
